Restoration of the Mikael Pedersen bike
In September 2013 the participants got to see the Pedersen Pilgrimage 2.0 on the loft of the town hall in Dursley. After offer to the “Herritage Centre” we picked up the fragments still in October.
After approximately 1 year of cautious restauration work and overhauling – especially of the shattered frame – followed a long look for impellers, that fit in the time around 1897.
In spring 2015 the complete and finished Mikael Pedersen bike got brought back to Dursley. Here we got welcomed by the committee of the Herritage Centre for a small celebration, in which the delivery of the bike got appreciated appropriately. Now the city Dursley owns their own original Pedersen and does not have to procure exhibits as a loan from the “Life Museum” in Gloucester.
